About the event

Every witch and wizard needs a familiar! Animals both alive and undead have been flying, crawling, digging and swimming their way to Giroux Woodworking in hopes of being adopted. In this interactive workshop kiddos will first pick their own stuffed animal from our large selection of creatures. We have various price points ranging from $12 fairy mice finger puppets to large Dragons for closer to $40 to skeleton flamingos. From here we will Team up into houses and participate in a Care of Magical Creatures Trivia Class to ensure wizards know how to care for their new creature friend. Each student can make their own wooden familiar name tag for their friend and will recieve official adoption paperwork from the ministry of magic. Class is $15 plus the price of your stuffed animal. Animals are first come first serve and will also be availabe in the store full time for adoption without the class portion. Students are welcome and encouraged to wear their finest school robes. Professor Giroux will be in full costume.

Our classes are non refundable but anyone who is not able to attend is welcome to stop by for a take home kit.

Please arrive a few minutes before the class to get settled. Class run time is 3 hours. We close at 4pm on Sundays.

Minimum of 3 and maximum of 8 students per class. If we do not hit our minimum all students are fully refunded.

Each student attending needs a ticket purchased in advance.

BYOB and snacks always welcome.

Our gift shop will be open for shopping.

Please be sure to read our policies for kids classes if planning on bringing a child.
