Store and Class Policies

We are a small family run business that sells our own handmade items as well as items from other local artisans on a commission basis. We also run small workshops and classes run by myself and local instructors. Because we are a handmade business that is 500 sq feet total, we do have some policies specific to our store. Please familiarize yourself with them and feel free to ask us questions if you ever need assistance with signing up for a class. We do ask you reach out BEFORE purchasing your tickets if you are unsure. sometimes we do not get alerted right away to emails so please feel free to contact us through social media, messenger, our chat feature etc if you do not hear back in a timely manner. It is likely we had a technical issue. If you are interested in a guest class please also feel free to reach out to that business for more information as well. We simply host guest artisans. There is also a pinned video on our Facebook page where I explain our rules. We have these policies in place to protect the store, our artisans and our customers! We do not set these rules for any other reasons or to try to be deceitful.

1. We do not offer refunds on classes at our store. If you no show or cancel after we have hit our minimum you will be offered a take home kit.  The only exception to this rule is if we do not meet our minimum of 3 students. If that happens, everyone signed up receives a full refund as we were the ones to cancel the class. We usually have a 3 person minimum and tap out at 8 people in store. I am able to come out to do larger events on site.

As a handmade classroom we all make and purchase materials well in advance once we hit our minimums for classes. Each instructor works hard to create projects and kits from scratch for you. Many of these projects are catered to specific classes and cannot be resold outside of the class. My laser process for example, takes hours and I start carving weeks before a class to ensure we have all the pieces. My laser has to be supervised at all times as it can catch on fire so I schedule out projects for the month. Please contact us prior to signing up if you have questions on this.

2. We ask that students do not try to transfer tickets to other people. I have no way to accommodate this on our back end and we worry about predatory scammers. If you do this, I am unable to help you in any way as the ticket is attached to your name and card. If you want to gift or transfer your tickets, that is on you, and we will not be held accountable if something goes wrong or you are scammed. Myself and the artisan running the class should be the only point of contact for ticketing. We do this to KEEP YOU SAFE.

3. Please arrive a few minutes early to relax and get ready so we can start the class on time. Our class run times are 2 hours unless otherwise stated. It can be distracting if people arrive after our scheduled start time and the instructor is teaching. We do not stay open late for late arrivals.

4. Please reach out to instructors with specific questions about guest classes. I host everyone but am not a expert in other fields and would rather students get information directly from the source.  If you cannot find their contact info I can provide it.

5. If you ask for a take home kit we ask that you pick up your kit promptly. We are a very small space and cannot accommodate holding tons of items for people. Unfortunately if not picked up within a week your project will go in our basement which is not temp controlled. We are not responsible for items that are left for over a week.

6. KIDS CLASSES - We are not a drop off venue. Parents are not charged to come to classes but we do ask that you hang out on site. We have our gift shop and are happy to provide a chair if there is extra room. When we are fully booked it can get very tight so please plan accordingly or check out our space in advance to see our setup. Parents are asked to help younger kids with projects. Parents are responsible to keep children in the crafting room. Children are NOT allowed in our boutique area alone. period. If items are damaged or ruined parents will be responsible to pay for them. The items in our boutique were hand made by local artists and we take their safety very seriously while in our care. We provide wipes in our craft room if a student needs to use the restroom they are asked to wipe their hands clean before walking through the rest of the building. We have a 0 tolerance policy for bullying or rude behavior.

7. There is NO RUNNING in the store. Our building is from 1850 and the floors are really strange. Running causes items to fall off the walls. Please refer to rule 6 about broken or damaged items.

8. HAVE FUN! While we do have basic rules we are a spot to make magic together and have fun! This is the most important rule of all!

Snacks and BYOB are welcome.

Our gift shop is open for shopping during classes.
